Gives Back Week

At BTTS Holdings, our foundation is rooted in faith, family, integrity, gratitude, and generosity. These principles serve as our guiding values in all that we do. Our motivation for organizing a Give Back Week is rooted in these beliefs.

Each year, we challenge ourselves to do more than the previous year. This year, we did our first BTTS Give Back Week. We partnered with various charities and allowed our team to sign up to volunteer for the day that they wanted to participate in.

Quick facts from the week:

# Volunteers: 91

# of Organizations Assisted: 4

Here is the round-up

from our Give Back Week:

Monday, July 24th – The Columbus Dream Center

We had 12 BTTS staff members, who served approximately 75 guests from the community. Gourmet Fresh provided a hot breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, and a muffin.

Our team served guests, listened to their stories, and interacted with them. We also assisted them by offering resources on-hand, such as socks, wipes, and deodorant, to meet their immediate needs.

Tuesday, July 25th - Center of Hope

9 BTTS staff members were on site helping guests shop for groceries, putting together toiletry kits, cleaning windows, and sorting produce. Anything that Center of Hope needed assistance with for the day - we were there to tackle and take some of the load off their shoulders!

Wednesday, July 26th – The Nationwide Children's Center Family Safety and Healing

A group of 10 volunteers from BTTS assembled more than 150 bags of fidget toys for children who need to go to the Center for assessments. These children often have to wait for long periods, so these kits keep them occupied while they wait for their appointments. These kids have typically experienced significant trauma and are waiting to be assessed.

We decorated each bag with a quote, a positive affirmation, a funny joke, etc., to help boost spirits. We then brought the kits to the Center and were able to take a tour and hear all about what the Center does for the community and how we can make an impact.

Thursday, July 27th – The Columbus Dream Center

Around 80 community members were served by 25 BTTS staff who provided a delicious hot meal by Gourmet Fresh: braised short ribs, rosemary chicken, corn, potatoes, and various cheesecake flavors.

Our team served guests, listened to their stories, and interacted with them. We also assisted them by offering resources on-hand, such as clothing, sleeping bags, and toiletries, to meet their immediate needs.

Friday, July 28th – The Columbus Zoo

A group of 35 BTTS employees gathered at the zoo and assisted the horticulture team in maintaining the pristine appearance of the zoo's grounds. They participated in planting and weeding activities while enjoying the sight of some fascinating animals.

That is a wrap! It brings us great joy and gratitude to have the opportunity to contribute to our community. Cheers to our next year and what our next Gives Back Week will become!
