Marshall Drewry
How long have you been working for BTTS and what is your role?
I have been on the BTTS bus since July of 2024! I work as the Director of Wedding Sales for Darby House and help with the downtown venues.
What was your first role in the events industry if this is not your first?
That would be in Memphis, Tennessee, the home of Elvis, the Blues, and basketball! I worked for the Memphis Grizzlies in ticket sales right out of college! Got promoted after my first year and was in the group sales department selling tickets and running our youth basketball program called Junior Grizzlies! It was an amazing experience working in the NBA and selling 75 plus events to 18,000 fans!
What is something people might be surprised to know about the day to day of your job?
Just making relationships outside BTTS with all vendors in the industry so you can provide the client with the best options! Meaning talking with hotels, transportation services and etc.. Just staying at the top of your game and making good relationships with those people!
What does BTTS mean to you?
It means to me incredible talented people coming together to form a strong team to create an unbelievable experience for our clients! When one team is driving the bus in the right direction we can create magic and start beautiful families!
What is something you'd currently recommend?
Solo travel!!! I just went to Montreal, and it was unbelievable experience! Putting yourself out there and testing yourself to meet new people and learn about cultures! If you are thinking of that trip, just take it and open yourself up to new worlds!
What is your go-to karaoke song?
Ain’t No Mountain High Enough-Marvin Gaye
My karaoke career started in 2018 with this song in San Antonio on the riverwalk and to this day I have heard it’s been one the best performances of all time on the riverwalk!
What has been a highlight of your year so far?
Just jumping in two feet to a new industry in weddings and finding my calling in this world! I love to make couples smile and shower them with love!
Seeing some of my best mates getting married this year as well! Had weddings in Hawaii, Tennessee and Florida!
